South Korean Auxiliary Bishop Peter Chung Soon-taek of Seoul has reminded young Korean Catholics to seek comfort through prayer in times of frustration.

"When you feel frustrated, think of the unconditional love of God and remember that God loves you just as you are,” he told a group of about 100 young people gathered in Seoul for a workshop, reported Fides, information service of the Pontifical Mission Societies.

Organized to mark the Year of Mercy, the meeting addressed the frustration and confusion that often afflict youth in parishes and among youth volunteer groups.

"It is always important to think about the love of God and understand that everything happens according to God's plan," Bishop Chung said.

The seminar, organized by the archdiocese's Department of Youth, aims to help young Catholics who participate in parish youth groups’ evangelization programs.

Help UCA News to be independent
Dear reader,
Lent is the season during which catechumens make their final preparations to be welcomed into the Church.
Each year during Lent, UCA News presents the stories of people who will join the Church in proclaiming that Jesus Christ is their Lord. The stories of how women and men who will be baptized came to believe in Christ are inspirations for all of us as we prepare to celebrate the Church's chief feast.
Help us with your donations to bring such stories of faith that make a difference in the Church and society.
A small contribution of US$5 will support us continue our mission…
