An island in the northern Philippines has been designated "pilgrimage island" where people can spend time for prayers and meditation especially during the Holy Week.
The main feature is a 56-foot image of 'Christ the Savior' that stands on the highest part of the island surrounded by life-sized scenes of Christ's Passion.
At the foot of the image of Jesus, one can have a 360-degree view of the 1,844-hectare marine sanctuary, which is popularly known in the Philippines as the Hundred Islands.
