The Roman Catholic Church of St Anthony in the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur was blessed and opened on Sept 21, 1913. The unique gothic architecture with the splendid stained glass in the sanctuary and the pointed arches are an attraction to many people. The sound of the church bells resonate with the grandeur of this church structure.
Located in the bustling city centre, this church attracts people from all over for worship. Over the years, the community has been growing steadily and today the church serves a diverse and vibrant community that meets regularly for worship and other spiritual activities.

The history of St. Joseph’s Church in Sentul is made up of events that shaped its growth as a Church. The primary event that shaped Sentul was the construction of the Central Railway Workshop in 1903, by the Federated Malay States (FMS) Railways. The British Government approved the Central Railway Workshop to be built in Sentul because of its strategic location in the Malay Peninsular. It is about 3 miles from the Central Railway Station, Kuala Lumpur. The Sentul railway workshop was to repair, maintain locomotives and build carriages.
Around this time other economic activities started to emerge in Sentul, parcels of land were opened up for the purpose of agriculture. Rubber and coconut estates, stretching from present day Union Flats area to Sentul Pasar Dalam were a common sight in 1903. Tin mining activity was also in progress in the area presently known as Bandar Baru Sentul and extending towards Batu Caves.
These hive of activities drew in many people into Sentul and among them were a number of Catholics who were employees of the FMS Railways. They stayed at the Artisan Quarters in the Railway Township Area, situated along Jalan Ipoh in Sentul where the Sekolah Kebangsaan Utama now stands.
It is reported that for Sunday worship the Catholics from this railway community walked all the way to St John’s Church in Bukit Nenas.
Fr. Victor Renard through his wisdom and far sightedness acquired a parcel of land for a Chapel and School in Sentul Pasar. In 1906, a small Chapel with a 3ft semi-wooden-brick wall with Chinese roof tiles was built. In July of the same year, the Chapel was blessed and dedicated to St. Anne as Indians generally had deeper devotion to St. Anne. Due to the unavailability of Missionaries Eucharistic celebration was held whenever a priest was available. It is reported that celebration of other Sacraments were held in St. John’s Church. As the Catholic population increased in Sentul, Fr. Victor Renard and Fr. Louis Duvelle observed that a vast majority of them were workers from the F.M.S, Railway Central Workshop. This led Fr. Victor Renard to rededicate the chapel of St. Anne to St. Joseph. Thus, St Joseph’s Chapel took root in Sentul on 15th November 1908 as a symbol of dignity to the workers in Sentul.

The history of St. Anne's Church in Port Kelang dates back to the late 1920s when Masses were held in a shop house along Jalan Camp. In the 1930s, the place of worship was moved to an old wireless station along Jalan Padang. During the Japanese occupation, the church was under the care of various priests. In the early 1960s, the catholic establishment of Malaya purchased a piece of land and built the new St. Anne's Church along Jalan Samy. Since then, the church has become a place of pilgrimage. Over the years, various priests have served as parish priests and administrators, with Fr. Lawrence Andrew SJ being the current parish priest since 2006. Fr. Lawrence has played a significant role in creating a caring and united community. The church has undergone transformations under his leadership.

St. Francis Xavier's Church is a Roman Catholic parish located at 135, Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The building of the church was officiated in 1957 by the then Catholic Bishop of Kuala Lumpur, Rt Rev. Tan Sri Dominic Aloysius Vendargon DD; it was one of the only three Catholic parishes established in Petaling Jaya (the other two parishes are Church of the Assumption, Petaling Jaya and Church of St. Ignatius, Petaling Jaya). St. Francis Xavier is a Jesuit Parish, the only such parish in Malaysia. St Francis Xavier's Church is built on the ground owned by the Jesuit Fathers in Malaysia, and the Jesuit Residence is located next to the church on the same ground. A hostel for Catholic students attending the nearby Universiti Malaya was also situated in the same compound. Adjoined to the church is the Catholic High School, a Chinese-type Mission School started by the Marist Brothers. The Marist Brothers are still the owner of the school. Ahead of its Golden Jubilee on 3 December 2011, the church underwent major redecoration works, with the installation of a reredos and several large stained glass panels, depicting the Stations of the Cross, the life of St. Francis Xavier, Christ the Good Shepherd, and Mary, Queen of Heaven, surrounded by a myriad of Jesuit saints and Blesseds. In 2016, the Church underwent further renovations, which involved air conditioning the premises.
