We are happy to introduce you to the Asian Catholic Directory from the Union of Catholic Asian News (UCA News). This unique online resource provides a comprehensive list of Catholic dioceses, parishes, church institutions, and their key leaders across 23 Asian countries.
More than just a database, the Directory is a testimony to the living Christian heritage, history, and tradition of some 120 million Catholics in the region covered by the Federation of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Asia. It provides a summarized history of each diocese in the region, a short bio about the bishops leading them, details about their cathedrals, parishes, mission stations, shrines, pilgrim centers, religious institutes, and even Mass timings, and the geographical locations of parishes.
A team of editors, resource managers, and software technologists at UCA News are working together to maintain Asia’s largest independent and free Catholic directory. They are professionals and need to be paid for their work.
The Directory is free, and we want to keep it absolutely free for our global audience. However, maintaining the rich and vast repository of information in the directory platform costs us US$60,000 a year. We continue to run this important project from donations received from our trusted users and benefactors.
You can donate as little as the cost of a cup of coffee, to help us maintain the Directory.
Help us keep the Asian Catholic Directory free!
The Church of St. Anthony of Padua at Teluk Intan in Malaysia is a wonderful tribute to the wonder worker Portuguese saint by French missionaries in Perak state. French missionary Father René-Michel-Marie Fée from Paris Foreign Mission Society (MEP) founded the parish. The priest had great devotion to St. Anthony of Padua.
