Pope Francis appointed Father Dominic Nguyen Van Manh as Coadjutor Bishop of the diocese of Dà Lat on April 8, 2017. Before the new appointment, he was serving as judicial vicar of the same diocese.
Bishop Manh was born on Aug 12, 1955, in Can Tho. Between 1966 and 1973 he attended the Simon Hoa Minor Seminary in Dà Lat. From 1973 to 1977, he studied philosophy and theology at St. Pius X College in Dà Lat. He served as the guardian at the college from 1977 to 1980. He was ordained a priest on May 29, 1994, for the Diocese of Dà Lat.
Bishop Manh has served as parish vicar of Tan Hoa, (1994-2003) and vicar of Bao Loc parish(2003-2009). Later, he studied at the Pontifical Urban University, where he obtained a doctorate Canon Law.
