Let us pray for Pope Francis
Friday, 23 April 2021

Let us pray for Pope Francis whose original name is George that his efforts to unite all human persons as brothers and sisters may become fruitful in a world divided by hatred and extremism. This is what the Pope prayed at Ur in Iraq, the birth place of Abraham where he visited, to heal the wounds inflicted on the people of Iraq by terrorism and extremism. Let us pray with Pope Francis on his feast day through the intercession of Saint George of Lydda whose feast we celebrate today that the dragon of hatred and extremism may be defeated to bring peace and harmony among all the people of the world. Amen.
