This UNHCR video holds up the example of young Somali refugee Nawa, who has beat the odds and gained an education in Malaysia. For most of her life, Nawa watched as other children went to school. As a refugee, that looked set to continue when she arrived in Malaysia, where refugees do not have access to formal education. Fugee School, a refugee learning center in Kuala Lumpur, changed her life and where she started her first-ever lessons at an age when her peers were graduating from secondary school.
