A freed Christian of Youhanabad February 10, 2020

An anti-terrorism court in Lahore last month acquitted 42 people (41 Christians and one Muslim) of charges in connection with the killing of two Muslims wrongly suspected of carrying out suicide bombings on two churches in Youhanabad in March 2015.

Archbishop Sebastian Shaw of Lahore announced the award of 2 million rupees for rehabilitation of the freed Christians.

Sunil Shehzad, one of the Catholic inmates, says his time in jail brought him closer to Christ. However, his elderly father is unsure about the future of his son, who used to own a tuk-tuk and work as a driver for a politician.
