Will Manila have a new cardinal?

The Archdiocese of Manila will soon have no prelate as Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle prepares to leave the Philippines to assume a new post in the Vatican.

Pope Francis appointed Cardinal Tagle prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, also known as Propaganda Fide, in December.

There is no hint yet as to who will replace the popular cardinal who has endeared himself to the Filipino faithful with his simplicity in his role.

Will Cardinal Tagle's departure also mean that the country gets a new cardinal?
