Salesians in northeastern India are making a short film on Don Bosco as part of the bi-centenary celebrations of the saint’s birth. The 28-minute film The Hand of Don Bosco is scheduled for release on May 1, the first day of the pilgrimage of the relics of Don Bosco in India. “It is a thanksgiving to God for the wonders He has done through the Hand of Don Bosco in this region of the northeast,”  said Salesian Father Joseph Pulinthanth from Tripura who wrote  the script for the film and is also directing it. The relics of the saint are currently on a tour of different countries and will reach India on April 29 from Myanmar. The pilgrimage will start from Imphal, Manipur on May 1. They will pass through Guwahati, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Hyderabad and Trichy.
