A Catholic priest was murdered inside his church in Mexico City, possibly with an ice pick. Father Francisco Sanchez Duran, pastor of San Jose Church in the borough of Coyoacan, was found dead around 9:30 a.m. “with wounds to the neck” from “a sharp cutting weapon,” the District Attorney’s office said, the LA Herald Tribune reports. An ice pick may have been used to murder the 63-year-old priest, the DA’s office said, adding that the case was still under investigation and no motive had yet been identified. The priest may have been killed while resisting a robbery attempt, Mexican media reported. SOURCE Catholic Priest Murdered in Mexico City (Latin American Herald Tribune)
