Pakistani Catholics promote the Bible

January 28, 2011
PAKISTAN: Over 100 participants from Hyderabad, Karachi and Quetta on Jan. 20-23 attended the Bible Animators Training Sessions held at Christ the King major seminary in Karachi. Father Emmanuel Asi, executive secretary of the Catholic Bible Commission Pakistan, told that the training program was based on three sections, namely the Word of God, the Word of God in Church and the Word of God in the World, mentioned in Pope Benedict XVI’s post-synodal apostolic exhortation Verbum Domini (Word of the Lord). Its objective is to prepare and train ministers in the Word of God at the parish and diocese level to promote the biblical apostolate, he said. PA13067.1638
