Justice Secretary Leila de Lima today ordered the re-investigation of sacked National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) chief and his agents for alleged kidnapping and extortion. A Department of Justice (DOJ) investigating team had recommended the filing of charges against NBI director Magtanggol Gatdula and other officers and agents of the bureau for the alleged kidnapping and illegal detention of undocumented Japanese national Noriyo Ohara last year. But De Lima said she will “review and assess” the findings, according to a report posted on ABS-CBN News site.
