INDIA: Some 10,000 people attended a Mass led by a top Vatican official on Jan. 23 in Bangalore, southern India. Cardinal William Joseph Levada, prefect for the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith in his homily urged them to become true disciples of Jesus Christ by serving others. “Do not keep the love, goodness and graciousness of Jesus to ourselves, but share them with others,” said the cardinal. Cardinal Levada came to India with a team of Vatican officials on Jan. 16 to attend a weeklong colloquium between bishops and theologians in the country. IB12998.1638
