PHILIPPINES: Former Cebu archbishop Cardinal Ricardo Vidal says he wants to keep busy despite having retired only two weeks ago. The 79-year-old prelate is still a member of four pontifical organizations in the Vatican - Pontifical Congregation for Catholic Education, Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of Faith, Pontifical Council for the Family and Pontifical Council for Health Care workers. He is just working a bit less, Cardinal Vidal told ucanews.com. He said although Pope Benedict XVI may be expecting him to rest more, he might consider teaching in the seminary and maybe give talks or spiritual direction, even to politicians. PV12976.1638
