KOREA: Cheju diocese has held a workshop to discuss ways of spreading a love of life and respect for living things. The February 7-9 workshop was attended by some 160 priests, Religious and laypeople including its ordinary Bishop Peter Kang U-il at St. Isidore Retreat House on Jeju Island. Called “Forward the Culture of Life from the Culture of Death,” the workshop consisted of a series of lectures and group discussions that looked at ways of changing what organizers called society’s culture of death attitude into a philosophy that values and supports pro-life issues.
