Hundreds of catechumens in Ho Chi Minh City have asked to follow Jesus at a special gathering. Cardinal Jean Baptiste Pham Minh Man of Ho Chi Minh City, Auxiliary Bishop Peter Nguyen Van Kham and other priests welcomed 300 catechumens at the Notre Dame Cathedral on April 2. Hundreds of their relatives, godparents and catechists were also present at the gathering. In his homily, Bishop Kham urged the catechumens, who are expected to be baptized and receive Confirmation on Holy Saturday, the Easter Vigil, to “continue discovering Jesus who is the Way, Truth and Life in their daily lives.” They should also “lead others to Jesus and embrace Catholicism,” he added.
