Catholic artists in South Korea have gathered for an exhibition of their works on life and existence The 344 artists at the Seoul Arts Center are focussing on "New Life - Humans, Life, Nature" in a show that finishes June 8. Charles Kang Hee-duk, president of the Catholic Artists' Association, said that for years Church arts focused on "I" rather than "We", so it was not successful as communication of a community. But this show can serve as an opportunity to share their agonies each other. Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Son Sam-seok, president of the Korean Bishops' Committee for Culture, told the opening ceremony participants that one piece of Catholic painting can play a big role in mission work.
