The Caritas Bangladesh Lighthouse Project runs more than 1,000 non-formal basic primary education centers.
Since 2012, they have helped educate more than 158,000 children from disadvantaged communities in Bangladesh.
The schools try to offer a comprehensive education including extracurricular activities.
There are no costs for the child of their family to learn at the centers.
Initially slated for six years, the project was extended for one more year last November.
The extension reaches its term in December and unfortunately the schools face an uncertain future.
Parents, community leaders and educationists are concerned about how the end of project will affect the children.
