Bandung bishop leaves diocese for Semarang

INDONESIA: Bishop Johannes Maria Trilaksyanta Pujasumarta of Bandung is to assume his new position as archbishop of Semarang in Central Java. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him to that post on Nov. 12, 2010. “I want to thank all Catholics, Religious men and women as well as laypeople (in the diocese) for keeping the fire of the holy spirit burning,” he said during the Jan. 2 Mass at St. Peter Cathedral Church in Bandung. He was appointed Bandung bishop in May 2008. IJ12701.1635
