Rights activists and Christians joined with victims’ families yesterday to urge the government to investigate 'disappearances' during the civil war. Marking the UN's International Day of the Disappeared, they demanded that authorities release suspected Tamil inmates long held in custody without being charged at unknown destinations throughout the island.
