Thousands of Marian devotees including ethnic groups from Vietnam's northern provinces made pilgrimages to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help shrine in Thai Ha Parish in Hanoi on June 23, 24, 25 and 27. The pilgrims in traditional clothing carried a copy of the Byzantine icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help around the church, said prayers, offered flowers and attended Masses. Local Redemptorists have restored the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Association at parishes for the past decade with 20,000 lay members. Before 1954, the association had 50,000 members.
