A 7.5 magnitude earthquake followed by tsunami hit Indonesia's Central Sulawesi province and devastated the region on Sept. 28.
As of Oct. 8, according to the National Disaster Management Agency, the quake and tsunami that mostly hit Palu, Donggala and Sigi areas have killed 1,763 people.
About 265 people are still missing, 2,632 people suffer severe injuries, while over 16,7000 people fled their homes.
Search and rescue work continues despite difficult conditions.
International governmental and non-governmental organizations have helped the Indonesian government in its efforts to provide help for survivors.
