Philippine Catholics hold 'Walk for Life' February 18, 2019

Filipino Catholics held what they described was a "Walk for Life" in at least eight cities across the country to highlight their call to respect the "dignity of life" on Feb. 16.

The event was organized by the Council of the Laity of the Philippines and the Episcopal Commission on the Laity of the bishops' conference.

"We must discern and expose deceptive ideologies and actions that seek to destroy life," read a statement issued by organizers of the march.

They also expressed their condemnation of "all policies, programs and actions that destroy and minimize the value of human life."
