No end in sight: Hong Kong protests

Hong Kong has entered its tenth week of anti-government protests that were sparked by a now-shelved bill which would have allowed Hong Kong authorities to extradite suspects to the mainland.

There have been sit-ins, rallies and marches, sieges of police stations and non-cooperation campaigns.

The protests reached a new peak on Aug. 12, when the international airport was brought to a standstill as thousands of protesters joined others who had occupied its main terminal for the fourth straight day.
