Some 40,000 people including followers of other faiths attended special celebrations of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception at the Pilgrimage Center of Mary on Dec. 9-10 in Mang Den in Kon Tum province.

Bishop Aloysius Nguyen Hung Vi of Kontum and 150 priests concelebrated Masses, heard confessions, led Eucharist adoration through the night, and recited the Divine Mercy and rosaries. Pilgrims also listened to hymns, watched dances performed by ethnic groups to honor Mother Mary, and joined a Marian statue procession around the center.
