Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral Church in Jakarta held its first public Sunday Masses in nearly four months on July 12 after it was closed in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Its capacity was limited to only 20 percent or 290 parishioners, excluding 19 non-liturgical servants. Parishioners had to register via a web server managed by the Archdiocese of Jakarta. They also had to follow health protocols such as wearing face masks, washing hands, social distancing and checking body temperature.
