Filipino Muslims start observance of holy month of Ramadan May 07, 2019

Filipino Muslims started the observance of Ramadan on May 6 with prayers and fasting. Christian leaders in the predominantly Catholic country wished the estimated 10 million Muslims a meaningful observance of the Islamic holy month. The public is encouraged to show support and understanding for those observing fasting and sacrifice during Ramadan.
