Catholic villagers ready for Christmas in Bangladesh

For minority Christians in Muslim-majority Bangladesh, Christmas comes with an added significance as the only Christian feast that enjoys a public holiday. In rural areas of Natore and Pabna districts in the north, preparations for Christmas last more than a month. People clean, decorate and illuminate houses and churches, while women make local delicacies like curries and cakes to serve guests.
