Schools and colleges across Bangladesh reopened on Sept. 12, 2021 after 18 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Bangladesh government shut down all education institutes on March 17, 2020 after the Coronavirus hit the country of more than 160 million. The school closure in Bangladesh was reportedly the longest in the world.
As the schools reopened, students returned to the campus amid a festive mood, bringing back life to the deserted institutes. The school authorities greeted students with flowers, sweets and orientation programs. The government allowed the opening of the school on the condition of mandatory health guidelines.
