A year after killer landslide, grief remains September 26, 2019

A year after a landslide killed 78 people in the central Philippines, families and friends of those who perished continue to mourn even as they struggle to rebuild their lives and their community. On Sept. 20, 2018, a portion of a mountain in village in Naga City, Cebu province, collapsed and rushed down into houses below. One year later, authorities have still to complete the relocation site for the 213 of the 418 families who were removed from the permanent danger zone.
