Mar Raphael Thattil was born in Thrissur on April 21, 1956. After his school education at St. Thomas College High School, he joined St Mary’s Minor Seminary, Thope on 4th July 1971. He was ordained priest on December 21, 1980. He was appointed the auxiliary bishop on January 18,2010. His episcopal ordination was on April 10, 2010.
