Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family :The Holy Family Convent was established in 1934 by Father Charles Joseph Lemaire (also known as Hui Huamin in Chinese and was consecrated coadjutor bishop in 1939). The first batch of eight nuns took their vows in 1938. By 1945, there were 73 nuns in total.
In 1980 as religion revived, government-recognized Bishop Liu Dianchi gathered the old nuns to rebuild community lives. Five years later, his successor Bishop Li Xuesong instructed to develop formation work of the convent
