Joseph Võ Duc Minh (* September 10 1944 in My Duc , Le Thuy , Quang Binh Province) is a Roman Catholic priest and bishop in the Diocese of Nha Trang in Vietnam . Its name combines traditional Western names (Joseph as a first name before the family name Võ) with Vietnamese (Duc Minh as a personal name stands behind the family name).
Joseph Võ Duc Minh attended the minor seminary in Saigon (1956-1965), began the study of philosophy at the Major Seminary in Saigon (1965-1966) and completed his priestly formation in Fribourg in Switzerland (1966-1971) with a licentiate in theology .
He was born on 24 April 1971 and ordained a priest in the Diocese of Da Lat incardinated . After his ordination, he was to study at the Pontifical Biblical Institute of Rome sent (1971-1974), where he also earned a licentiate.
After his return home in May 1974, he held the following positions: Professor of Biblical studies at the major seminary Minh Hoa Da Lat , at the Major Seminary of St. Joseph in Ho Chi Minh-Ville and the Major Seminary "Stella Maris" in Nha Trang . He held Bible classes for various religious communities in the country and was also secretary to his bishop (1975-1991). Since 1991 he is a minister in the cathedral of Dalat in 1999 and Vicar General . He is a member of the Commission for the ongoing formation of the clergy in Dà Lat .
8 November 2005 he was appointed Pope Benedict XVI. to Coadjutor Bishop in the Diocese of Nha Trang in Vietnam . On 4 December 2009 he followed the retiring from office Bishop Paul Nguyen Van Hòa after.
