Bishop Thomas Thuruthimattam, CST, was born on April 22, 1947, in Aruvikuzhy, Kerala. He was ordained priest on Dec. 21, 1973, and appointed bishop of Gorakhpur on July 15, 2006. His episcopal ordination was on Oct. 1, 2006. Bishop Thuruthimattam was the superior general of the Little Flower Congregation (CST Fathers) before his appointment as the diocesan prelate.
