John Baptist Tan Yanquan was born on April 13, 1962. He was ordained priest on October 29, 1989. Father Tan Yanquan was ordained the Coadjutor Bishop of the Archdiocese of Nanning on January 21, 2003. He was appointed later, as the Bishop of Nanning on January 7, 2007.
