Father Antony Prince Panengaden named the bishop of Adilabad on Aug. 6, 2015.

Bishop Panengaden was born on March 13, 1976, at Arimpur, in the archdiocese of Trichur.

He studied philosophy at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, Bangalore (1998-2001), and graduated from the University of Calicut (2001-2003).

He studied theology at Ruhalay Seminary, Ujjain (2003-2007) and was ordained priest on April 25, 2007.

He later obtained a doctorate in biblical theology from Urbaniana University, Rome.

He served as assistant parish priest of the cathedral and priest-in-charge of Saligaon Mission Station.

Since 2015, he was the parish priest of the cathedral.
