Bishop Lee Keh-mean was born in Tainan, in the south of Taiwan, on Aug. 23, 1958. On May 27, 1990, he was ordained a priest and served as rector of St. Francis Xavier Minor Seminary, a regional minor seminary for northern Taiwan, in Hsinchu. In August 2003, he became rector at Taiwan Catholic Regional Seminary, produced by the 1994 merger of St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Seminary and St. Pius X Major Seminary in Tainan. His appointment as bishop of Hsinchu came on April 6, 2006. He was ordained Bishop of Hsinchu on June 24, 2006.

  • Bishop James Liu Tan-kuei (Jan. 22, 2005 ~ May 30, 2005 Bishop James Liu Tan-kuei, who suffered from work-related stress had requested for leave from duties on May 30, 2005 and Hsinchu diocese was without a bishop. Archbishop Joseph Cheng Tsai-fa of Taipei was appointed as diocesan administrator to head Hsinchu diocese from May 2005 to April 2006.)
