On March 18, 2019, Pope Francis has appointed Rev. Fidelis Bautista Layog as an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan.

Bishop Layog, 50, is a native of the province of Pangasinan. He was born on November 20, 1968.

He was ordained a priest on April 29, 1996.

Bishop Fidelis currently serves as a parish priest in Our Lady of Purification Parish in Binmaley, Pangasinan.

The episcopal ordination of Bishop Layog will be on the May 8, 2019.
