Bishop Buenaventura M. Famadico, DD was born on July 13, 1956 at Banton, Romblon. He was ordained a priest on Oct. 25, 1983. Pope John Paul II appointed him Auxiliary Bishop of Lipa on July 10, 2002. He was ordained Bishop on June 19, 2002. On June 11, 2003, the pope appointed him Second Ordinary Bishop of Gumaca. On 25 Jan, 2013 the pope appointed him as the Bishop of San Pablo diocese.

Currently, he is a member of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines' (CBCP) Episcopal Commission on Clergy and the Episcopal Commission on Family and Life.
