Auxiliary Bishop Augustinus Kim Jong-soo was born on Feb. 8, 1956, in Daejeon. He was ordained priest on Feb.13, 1989, and appointed as auxiliary bishop of Daejeon on Feb. 10, 2009. His episcopal ordination was on Mar. 25, 2009. Auxiliary Bishop Augustinus Kim is vicar general of the diocese. He is president of the Committee for Liturgy and the Committee for Evangelization of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea (CBCK). He is also a member of the Episcopal Commission for Doctrine and the Episcopal Commission for Mission & Pastoral Care of the CBCK.
