Archbishop Tarcisius Isao Kikuchi was born on November 01, 1958.
He is a Japanese Roman Catholic prelate and professed member from the Divine Word Missionaries who has been serving as Archbishop of Tokyo since his appointment in October 25, 2017.
He was ordained priest on March 15, 1986, and was appointed bishop of Niigata on September 20, 2004.
He was a former worker in the missions of Ghana in Western Africa.
Kikuchi serves as the President of Caritas Japan as well as for Caritas Asia. He also serves as a member of the Representative Council of Caritas Internationalis.
Archbishop Tarcisio Isao Kikuchi has been named the new secretary general of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC) on July 22, 2021.
