Catholic Social Welfare

  • As the Diocese is still very new, there is lack of Social Welfare:
There are no hospitals, dispensaries, elderly homes, homes for the disabled, AIDS hospices, orphanages, hostels for youth, socio-economic centers. But the diocese has two clinics, Prang Hkudung (1923) and Nanhlaing (1938). The diocese is starting the work of social development which is called "Karuna" in Myanmar.
