Bishop Franz-Josef Overbeck of Essen celebrated a Mass in English yesterday and presided over the rite of Christian Initiation of Adults for about 60 Chinese people in the Saints Cosmas and Damian Church.

The special Mass at the Church, built 40 years ago under the sponsorship of Essen diocese, was joined by a group of 13 young Catholics who visited the German diocese in January.

Bishop Overbeck is leading a delegation of four visiting Hong Kong March 24-30.
