Sisters to teach computer skills

Sisters of the Missionario Jesus Futar Fuan Domin (MJFFD, Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus), will launch a three-month computer and English skills training program in Dili diocese for young people who have dropped out of school.
About 17 Sisters from the MJFFD along with a group of Salesian nuns have been enlisted to teach the classes, which are scheduled to begin on August 3 and finish at the end of October.
Eighty students have signed up for the classes, to be taught in the hall of the diocese' Commission for Youth.
"We chose computer and English skills training because these are what young people really need today," said Sister Irmalinda Soares, the congregation's superior.
The training also aims to promote unity among youths from different regions as well as cultural and political backgrounds.
