KOREA: Seoul archdiocese has established an exclusive sub-parish to boost the faith of the visually impaired.

The archdiocese announced the establishment of the special jurisdiction yesterday after elevating the Catholic Blind Missions of Korea (CBMK) english.cbck.or.kr/ and appointing Father Stephen Ko Hyeong-seo as its first parish priest.

It will build on the work of the CBMK which has provided braille Bibles, hymn books, prayer books and weekly bulletins for the visually impaired faithful.

“Now, we can have confession during weekdays and register visually impaired faithful as our parishioners,” Han Kyeong-sook, secretary general of the CBMK, told ucanews.com today.
