Staff at a home for children with HIV/Aids in Thailand are anxiously watching as the flood waters are coming perilously close. (Jo Sidlecka, Independent Catholic News)
Faisal Malik from the Camillian Home writes:
"No alligators yet. Camillian Home and the local community of Latkrabang are being drastically affected from the rise in water levels. Our area has been selected as a distribution point for excess water coming from the North so the risk of additional flood water remains for another few weeks. (water levels are 60cm to 100cm in our area and rising)
"Many disabled adults living in the community are having to live on temporary wooden shelves to escape the water. For the moment, only our one pickup truck is able to traverse the flooded main road. Many of our staff who live outside are now living with us as their homes have been completely flooded.
