Some 300 Catholics attended a Requiem Mass on January 7 dedicated to Father Joseph Shi Liming and six seminarians of the Baoding seminary in northern China. They were killed on December 11 when their minivan crashed with two trucks.
Participants also prayed for the recovery of the surviving seminarian Gao Jinling, who can now talk and eat. He will undergo further surgery after the Chinese New Year.
They also prayed for Fr Liu Jinqi of Anguo, also in Hebei, who was injured in another road accident on December 12.
