Religious leaders yesterday marked the end of World Interfaith Harmony Week with an event in the House of Representatives building.

Bishop Petrus Canisius Mandagi of Amboina, head of the Indonesian Bishops’ Conference (KWI, http://www.kawali.org/)’s Commission for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, reminded some 2,000 participants of the of three main obstacles to harmony. “They are lies, injustice and greed. These are our common enemies to creating a harmonious and tolerant life,” he said.

This year, in Indonesia, World Interfaith Harmony Week began on February 5 and included workshops, dialogues, tree planting and prayer gatherings.
