Radio Veritas 846, a church-run radio station in Manila, launched on July 13 the "Home of Mercy" initiative which features a religious ornament that can be installed on doors "to welcome the unwavering mercy of God."
"The Home of Mercy will serve as a reminder of God's mercy, that as we are touched by His compassion every day, we can also become compassionate toward others especially to those who are in need," said Father Anton Pascual, president of Radio Veritas 846.
Father Pascual urged Catholics to "feel the presence of God's mercy" in homes and extend it to those in need.
"We aim to make the mercy of the Father evident in every Christian's home where we first learn to have faith," said the priest.
The Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy was first announced by Pope Francis on March 13, 2015. It is the 27th holy year in history and follows the Jubilee in 2000.
Radio Veritas 846 is owned and operated by the Archdiocese of Manila.
